Friends of Street Children Bangladesh

Will be screening their short film, ‘Where the Kids have No Name’ at 1030 BST on 12 April.

Future Focus Foundation, Sierra Leone

Glad’s House, Kenya

Staff training, and then consultations with children in the week leading up to IDSC, to explore what they would like to focus their messaging on. They are also planning a ‘street walk’ and volleyball/football game on April 12.

Home and Street Kids’ Initiative (HSKI), Nigeria

Planning television interviews and media involvement. Their IDSC walk with street-connected children and street workers will be joined by the police force for juvenile justice and the Federal Association of Female Lawyers.

Laughter Africa, Sierra Leone

Held a Street Champions election and are planning a consultation around the Special Rapporteur on the sale and sexual exploitation of children’s upcoming report.

NSC, Sierra Leone

Will be conducting Street Champion training on 5th April, and engaging with media on 11th April.

Safe Society, India

Are organising a sports tournament, ‘Gully Buddy’

The Children’s Parliament in Ghana will be highlighting the vital role of street-connected children in driving advocacy for the Ghanaian government to implement the National Strategy for street-connected children 2024-28.
