Summary

Growing up on the Streets is a longitudinal, participatory research project led by StreetInvest and the University of Dundee. This briefing paper analyses the hopes, dreams and aspirations of street children and youth, based on analysis of focus group discussions about plans for the future that took place in the three project cities (Accra, Ghana and Harare, Zimbabwe in November 2014, and in Bukavu, DRC, in May 2016) and involved 193 street children and youth participants (148 young men and 45 young women in 18 groups).
