DFID: Aid, Education and Conflict-affected Countries
Downloads
Summary
Education is a basic human right for every child.Yet children in conflict-affected fragile states (CAFS) are less likely than other children around the world to have the chance to go to school. Even when they are able to attend, they struggle to complete their education in schools with few books, large class sizes, poor quality instruction and little support for teachers. Children who live in countries affected by conflict are likely to see their education disrupted, their schools destroyed and their hopes for the future taken away.
