Summary

2013 marked the 17th year of Mkombozi’s existence and exactly halfway in the implementation of their 2011-2015 Strategic Plan.Throughout 2013, Mkombozi continued to focus on children living and working on the streets and those at risk of moving to the streets. 757 children were contacted on the streets of Moshi and Arusha and over 18,000 community members were reached through Mkombozi’s preventive campaigns. There was also an ongoing focus on the implementation of the theory of change; a holistic approach to addressing the challenges facing street involved children, their families and the community. Emphasis was placed upon improving the lives of vulnerable families and the community to ensure sustainable community led initiatives. Building on their solid background and track record in prioritization and protection of children, Mkombozi promises to continue promoting their best interests at all time.
