Survey on Substance Use Among Street Children in Phnom Penh

Summary

This report covers substance use among street children and vulnerable youth in
Phnom Penh only. Obviously it is only a small part of the drug situation in
Cambodia, since we did not address the situation among other youth, which are
also big users (gangs – Boeng Thom, children in school, students, etc.), nor did we
address the situation among adults.

It would, therefore, be dangerous if this survey were to be used to blame only
the street children and vulnerable youth for drug use in Cambodia, like it has
been the trend in these past months.
