Summary

Too little is known regarding trafficking in Africa and this is hindering the adoption and implementation of effective law and policy. It is the purpose of the present study to provide an overview of key issues related to the trafficking of human beings, particularly women and children, in Africa. The report presents a preliminary mapping of trafficking patterns and provides an indication of emerging good practices on the continent.
