Participatory Action Research: Local Causation of Primary School Drop-outs and Exclusions in the Kilimanjaro Region

Summary

This study uses Participatory Action Research as a tool for bringing about societal transformation and includes the active participation of school communities, teachers, students, District Education Officers and community. The findings have been used to propose and initiate changes that address the ‘push factors’ driving children away from school.
